Akıllı Telefon Bağımlılığı
Özet
Bu akademik yazı, modern yaşamın vazgeçilmez bir parçası haline gelen akıllı telefonların aşırı ve kontrolsüz kullanımı sonucu ortaya çıkan "akıllı telefon bağımlılığı" kavramını ve bu durumun bireyler üzerindeki etkilerini incelemektedir. Yazıda, akıllı telefondan ayrı kalma korkusu olarak tanımlanan nomofobi ile bağımlılık arasındaki ilişki açıklanmakta; her iki durumun da özdenetim sorunlarıyla bağlantılı olduğu ve özellikle gençlerde, kadınlarda daha sık görüldüğü belirtilmektedir. Akıllı telefon bağımlılığı henüz resmi tanı ölçütlerinde (DSM-5 ve ICD-11) yer almasa da ödül-ceza sistemi ve dopamin mekanizması üzerinden davranışsal bağımlılık kriterlerini karşıladığı savunulmaktadır. Risk grupları arasında yüksek nörotiklik, düşük özdenetim ve kaygılı bağlanma stillerine sahip bireyler öne çıkmakta; bu kişilerin olumsuz duygulardan kaçınmak amacıyla cihaza yöneldikleri görülmektedir. Bağımlılığa depresyon, anksiyete, uyku bozuklukları gibi ruhsal sorunların yanı sıra kas-iskelet sistemi rahatsızlıkları ve sedanter yaşam riskleri de eşlik etmektedir. Durumu değerlendirmek için ATBÖ gibi çeşitli ölçekler kullanılırken, tedavide Bilişsel Davranışçı Terapi, Kabul ve Kararlılık Terapisi, egzersiz rehabilitasyonu ile ortalama 5-10 oturumluk önleme programları etkili sonuçlar vermektedir. Sonuç olarak, bağımlılığa eşlik eden diğer psikiyatrik hastalıkların da tespit edilerek bütüncül bir tedavi planı yapılması ve özellikle genç nesillerde farkındalık yaratılması sağlıklı gelecekler için kritik bir önem taşımaktadır.
This academic text examines the concept of "smartphone addiction," which emerges from the excessive and uncontrolled use of smartphones that have become an indispensable part of modern life, and analyzes its effects on individuals. The text explains the relationship between addiction and nomophobia, defined as the fear of being detached from one's smartphone, noting that both conditions are linked to self-control problems and are more prevalent among youth and females. Although smartphone addiction is not yet included in official diagnostic criteria (DSM-5 and ICD-11), it is argued to meet behavioral addiction criteria through the reward-punishment system and dopamine mechanism. Individuals with high neuroticism, low self-control, and anxious attachment styles stand out among risk groups, and it is observed that these individuals turn to devices to avoid negative emotions. The addiction is accompanied by psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders, as well as musculoskeletal disorders and risks associated with a sedentary lifestyle. While various scales like the SAS are utilized to evaluate the condition, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, exercise rehabilitation, and prevention programs lasting an average of 5-10 sessions yield effective results in treatment. Consequently, identifying other comorbid psychiatric disorders to design a holistic treatment plan and raising awareness especially among younger generations hold critical importance for healthy future generations.
