Nutrition management in disasters and emergencies should focus on meeting energy and protein needs from the very first stage to reduce the risk of morbidity and mortality associated with malnutrition. Within the framework of international standards such as the Sphere Project, providing a daily average of 2100 kcal of energy and 50 grams of protein per person, along with access to clean water, is of critical importance. Taking into account the special needs of vulnerable groups like women, children, and the elderly, food fortification and the use of ready-to-use therapeutic foods play a strategic role in preventing micronutrient deficiencies.
