Özet
Afet ve acil durumlarda güvenli su, sanitasyon ve hijyen hizmetlerine erişim, salgın hastalıkların önlenmesi ve halk sağlığının korunması için hayati bir önem taşımaktadır. Temiz su temini için kişi başı günlük en az 15 litre kullanım hedeflenmeli, dışkı ve katı atık bertarafı ile drenaj sistemleri uluslararası standartlara uygun şekilde yönetilmelidir. Toplum katılımını esas alan WASH (Su, Sanitasyon ve Hijyen) hizmetleri, özellikle çocuk ve yaşlı gibi savunmasız grupların sağlığını koruyarak afet sonrası insani yaşam koşullarının sürdürülmesini sağlar.
Access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene services in disasters and emergencies is vital for preventing epidemics and protecting public health. A target of at least 15 liters of water per person per day should be set, and waste disposal and drainage systems must be managed according to international standards. WASH services based on community participation ensure the maintenance of humane living conditions by protecting the health of vulnerable groups, especially children and the elderly.
