Güç Doğumların Yönetimi, Önleme Stratejileri ve Postpartum Sürece Etkileri
Özet
Güç doğum (dystocia), sığır işletmelerinde ekonomik kayıplara ve sürü sağlığı sorunlarına yol açan kritik bir problemdir. Fizyolojik süreler içinde kendiliğinden gerçekleşmeyen ve müdahale gerektiren doğumlar olarak tanımlanan bu durum, primipar ineklerde multipar olanlara göre daha yüksek oranda görülmektedir. Güç doğumun etiyolojisinde maternal ve fötal faktörler rol oynamakta olup, genetik seleksiyonlar nedeniyle artan buzağı ağırlığı insidansı yükseltmektedir. Bu problem; azalan süt verimi ve kalitesi, düşen fertilite, artan buzağı mortalitesi ve metritis, plasental retensiyon gibi postpartum hastalıklar nedeniyle ciddi ekonomik zararlara yol açar. Yönetim sürecinde çiftlik personelinin eğitimi ve müdahale zamanının doğru belirlenmesi hayati önem taşır; amniyon kesesi görüldükten sonraki iki saat içinde ilerleme olmazsa müdahale edilmelidir. Tedavi yaklaşımı olarak kontrollü çekme, fötotomi veya sezaryen operasyonu uygulanır. Önleme stratejileri ise düvelerin doğru canlı ağırlıkta tohumlanmasını, gebelik döneminde dengeli beslenmeyi ve doğum kolaylığı yüksek, düşük doğum ağırlıklı boğaların veya spermaların seçilmesini kapsamaktadır.
Dystocia is a critical problem in cattle enterprises that leads to economic losses and herd health issues, defined as calvings that do not occur spontaneously within physiological timeframes and require intervention, with higher incidence rates observed in primiparous cows compared to multiparous ones. Maternal and fetal factors play a role in the etiology of dystocia, and increased calf weight resulting from genetic selections raises its incidence. This problem causes severe economic damage due to reduced milk yield and quality, decreased fertility, increased calf mortality, and postpartum diseases such as metritis and retained placenta. In the management process, training farm personnel and correctly determining the timing of intervention are vital; if no progress occurs within two hours after the amniotic sac becomes visible, intervention should be initiated. Treatment approaches include controlled extraction, fetotomy, or cesarean section. Prevention strategies encompass breeding heifers at the correct body weight, balanced nutrition during pregnancy, and selecting bulls or semen with high calving ease and low birth weights.
